The ABC's of Building Children's Self-EsteemPositive self-esteem is the cornerstone for a healthy life as a child and as an adult. Participants will learn how children's self-image impacts their behaviors, relationships, and coping skills. They will learn principles and approaches to sustain positive, trusting relationships and for helping children reach their potential.
Helping Children with Separation and LossThis class is designed for caregivers, including foster and adoptive parents, with children experiencing separation or loss. Group discusses stages of grief and techniques for responding to children with empathy and healing.
Hair and Skin Care for the African-American ChildThis class is designed for caregivers, including foster and adoptive parents, caring for children of African-American and biracial descent. Products and techniques to properly care for skin and hair will be discussed as well as how to address some of the children’s unique social needs.
